Insects are the hardest thing to take good pictures of in Tears of the Kingdom. (Spoiler alert—there’s only one on this list.) They’re tiny, they’re bouncy, and they get everywhere…wait, I think someone’s already taken that particular line.

I managed to notice a tiny thunderwing butterfly while I was exploring the Thunderhead Isles, and I promptly put on my most beautiful coruscant armour and tucked all my noisy Sages away (something that I only do in rare circumstances like this). Then, I pulled out my camera and posed.

Except it wasn’t that easy. This little guy flit around the sky island for at least five minutes, evading my Purah Pad with ferocious skill. It drove me to my absolute wits’ end, but I finally managed to get a picture.

Except Link’s eyes were closed. He looks kind of yumpy and dazed, but I suppose that’s what you get for spending too long trying to get a serviceable image of a butterfly. Which isn’t really even that visible in the final image.

Link’s armour is all lit up because of the storm, though. That’s nice. A bit of a consolation prize, at the very least. I love the Charged set, but you probably guessed that already as the trousers have shown up multiple times on this calendar.
