There is a very narrow window between the time Link gets hit and the time the camera turns off when Link reels in pain. If you’re very, very lucky and quick, you can snap a picture in this window. In the resulting image, Link is lit up red like a Christmas tree while he is struck by agony. 

I’ve managed to catch three lucky moments like this in the compendium (the other two being the Stone Talus and the Ice-Breath Lizalfos), but the most striking of the trio is this one of Link being swatted by an angry Boko, bent backwards in pain with his Frostbite armour lit up in the cold. This was taken in the Icefall Foothills cave near Otak Shrine, hence why Link looks not just miserable, but cold and miserable. What an unpleasant combination. (Once again, if you didn’t know there was a cave in the Icefall Foothills, now you know.)
