Hyrule Advent Calendar! December 13th: Silver Lizalfos Horn

This enigmatic and dramatic image was taken…in the ball shute of a shrine.

Mayachin Shrine to be exact, which is my least favourite shrine that I’ve tackled so far. I eventually got so fed up with trying to do anything functional with the stakes (incidentally also my least favourite Zonai device) that I ascended up into the chute that cursed ball kept falling out of, threw a brightbloom seed at the wall (because Hylia knows I have enough of them to waste on ridiculous flights of fancy like that) and took a picture of whatever random monster body part was fused to my weapon at the time.

That body part turned out to be a silver Lizal horn.

I had no idea what was inside one of those shutes until that day, or just how dark they were. The ominous lighting really makes Link look dramatic here, though.

    1. This picture was the only good thing about that nasty shrine…shame I didn’t know to just shoot bomb arrows at targets, that could have spared me a bit of suffering!
We were never able to get into the ball shutes in BotW, and now that we can it’s something to take advantage of.
