Hyrule Advent Calendar! December 5th: Shard of Dinraal’s Spike

Sweet Koko. She’s such a tragic child, yet so strong in her desire to help protect her family. Of course, if the Yiga Clan weren’t quite so horrid she wouldn’t have to, but that’s a discussion for another day. While I’m a little bit disappointed she’s no longer showing quite such an active interest in cooking (and when we’ve finally gotten concrete proof from the local well that her recipes were in fact from her mother!), she’s become a little entrepreneur, selling her pretty flower wreaths to the tourists who flock to Kakariko to see the Ring Ruins. While her hometown may be becoming a little bit of a tourist trap, she’s determined to not let that get in the way of her life.

However, a bit more inconvenient is Calip’s insistence that she and her family aren’t allowed to visit the graveyard because of his (not so) secret aspirations to have Zelda recognize him as a doctor.

So of course the kind Koko deserves a treat of watching coruscant, scintillating dragon spikes—such a rare material.

In my house, we are all big fans of Koko’s gentle nature and fierce love for her sister.

This image was taken in front of Impa’s Paya’s house in Kakariko Village, where Koko sells her wreaths with a little kiss each time.

  1. Koko will one day be the leader of the Sheikah. She is the best little NPC character in the whole series and I love her! Each Yiga must die for what they did to her family, and Calip shall never be called doctor. ever. Koko is Queen!

    1. Koko would be a great little protegé to Paya, wouldn’t she?
I don’t think Zelda would approve of Calip’s doctor status, either. He’s much too rude and compared to Tauro, doesn’t really do that much…

  2. PS. I might love Koko
