I’m starting this Hylian holiday adventure off with one of my favourite enemies in the Zelda series—the Molduga! What better way to begin the holiday season than with a picture of one of the coolest (if not grossest) minibosses?

Since these brutes hold such a fondness in my heart, I had to ensure that I had just the right image in the Compendium. This one fits the criteria, although it’s hard to tell if Link is terrified or just really, really cold because he didn’t pack a warm doublet. To be fair, the former reaction is still perfectly valid because this image gives you a fairly…up close and personal look at the Molduga’s somewhat gross eyes. A little wince can be expected. I love Moldugas, but even I have to admit that they look pretty odd.

This picture was taken at the East Barrens at night, next to Siwakama Shrine. Its presence is the reason why I travel to that shrine so much.
